The (Not So Secret) Way To Save 42% On Your Next Bike
If you've been thinking about buying a new bike but the price has been putting you off, there's a government scheme that could save you between 25% and 42%. It's called the Cycle to Work scheme, and it's been helping people get on bikes for years.
The savings are genuine and substantial. On a £1,000 bike, you could save up to £420. On a £2,000 bike, that's potentially £840 in your pocket. Not bad for filling in a bit of paperwork.
Let's break down how it works and how you can use it with us.
What is the Cycle to Work Scheme?
Bike to Work schemes make your money go further and put that dream bike right in reach. It's a salary sacrifice scheme backed by the government that lets you get a bike and equipment through your employer in a tax-efficient way.
Here's what you need to know:
You can buy both new and pre-owned bikes via Bike to Work schemes. It's not just limited to brand new bikes, so if there's a quality used bike you've had your eye on, the scheme can work for that too.
You save between 25-42% off the cost of your bike, depending on your salary. Higher rate taxpayers save more, but even basic rate taxpayers make significant savings.
The monthly payment comes out of your salary pre-tax as a form of salary sacrifice. This is where the savings come from - you're essentially paying for the bike before income tax and National Insurance are deducted.
We Accept All Cycle to Work Schemes
You can use any Cycle to Work scheme with us. Whether your employer uses Cyclescheme, Halfords, Evans, Green Commute Initiative, Vivup, or any other provider - we accept them all.
Use our calculator to view your savings and any commission charges associated with your chosen scheme. Different providers have different fee structures, so it's worth checking what your actual take-home saving will be. You can find our calculator here.
We recommend using Gogeta as all bikes are available with no commission charges applied. Some scheme providers charge commission fees that eat into your savings, but Gogeta keeps it straightforward. Zero commission on all bikes means maximum savings for you.

You can buy a bike straight away. If you have a voucher already, then you can purchase a bike online or in-store, and we'll process your voucher during checkout.

Please get in touch for further help if you need it. We're here to guide you through the process.
Note: Not available on pre-owned used bikes via Cyclescheme.

Common Questions About Cycle to Work
Do I own the bike? Technically you're hiring it during the scheme period (usually 12 months), but at the end of the hire period, ownership transfers to you for a small fee or extended hire period, depending on your provider.
Can I use it for leisure riding? Yes. Despite the name, you can use your Cycle to Work bike for whatever you want - commuting, weekend rides, sportives, whatever. You just need to confirm you'll use it for some commuting.
What if I leave my job? Most schemes have provisions for this. Usually, you'll either continue the payments, pay off the remaining balance, or transfer the scheme to your new employer if they participate.
Is there a limit on how much I can spend? This depends on your employer. Some companies set limits, but many don't. It's worth checking your company's policy.
