Selling & Exchanging - Explained

Here at Cycle Exchange we try and make selling your bike or parts as easy as possible. We have years of experience and lots of happy customers.

1. Get A Quote.

2. Pack Or Drop Your Bike.

3. Get Paid.

The Process:

1. Fill in the quick quote form.
The quick quote gives you a guide price for your bike or frameset instantly you can add photos there too. If you like that quote just respond and we'll send you a formal quote with 'next steps' instructions. We need to double check age, price paid and condition before issuing the formal quote.
Cycle Exchange store credit gives you value back on your items that can be spent at Cycle Exchange anytime. If you are looking for cash we tend to be a bit more selective focussing on higher end well looked after items that are less than a few years old. We also offer a 'sale on commission' service in certain cases. With that you get paid when the bike sells, we need it in store though for viewing while it's on sale. Offers are valid for 7 days.

2. If you like the quote then give us the thumbs up and we'll be in touch.
You will need to pack the bike in a bike box for collection. We cover shipping and insurance but you are responsible to make sure the packing is secure for shipment. If you are exchanging it is even easier as you can use the packaging from your upgraded bike that we will send you first. If you are coming in store then even easier, no packing or dismantling required. Once in store the bike is checked over by our accredited mechanics, parts that need to be replaced are highlighted to you, we only charge trade prices for those parts that need replacing, or you can replace yourself. Carbon Fibre components are carefully checked for damage or cracks, we can't accept a compromised carbon structure.

3. Get Paid !
Either as a direct bank transfer or as credit to your next purchase with us. Always within 48hours, usually sooner, by the next working day if a weekend drop. We will need to see id including proof of address before payment is made.
